Dear Fellow Republican,
On behalf of the Monmouth County Republican Committee and our leadership team, I want to express my deepest condolences for the senseless violence and the life lost to Saturday's madness, and ask for your prayers for President Trump, the family of Corey Comperatore who lost his life shielding his daughter, and all those affected by this evil act. I also roundly condemn it. Violence as part of the political process should be denounced by all Americans, no matter their differences.
It is truly a sin that this shining city on a hill of ours has been torn asunder by harsh rhetoric that has allowed the worst among us to gain a foothold.
I say no more. America is better than this.
It is important, now more than ever, to be involved; whether that is registering to vote or registering others, volunteering at our events or for our candidates, sharing information in your networks or on social media, or working in your communities to spread the joy of America. Let’s unite in prayer, for the sake of our communities and the sake of our country, and let’s allow the better angels of our nature, as President Lincoln put it, to carry us forward.
